Daily Blog Day 30 -- Thanks for growing 30 days older with me

30 days of daily blogs is done! If you haven't already noticed, these daily blogs have become sort of like journaling for me so I might honestly just keep going. We shall see!

I will be writing about the people I'm riding for soon but I want to be able to give that post the attention it deserves, and right now, I am lacking in spare attention. It's so funny how I'm writing a paper about mindfulness which is causing me a ton of stress and making me deviate from my usual mindfulness practices. With things so hectic and stressful, now is the best and most important time to lean into meditation and other strategies to stay sane. But the human brain is so crazy and smart and dumb all at the same time and makes us do crazy, dumb things while preventing us from doing smart things. Anyway, I'm not gonna go down that rabbit hole.

Today I want to take the opportunity to reflect on the past 30 days! First of all, thank you all for reading and being a part of this little challenge. I won't be as dramatic as I usually am but I still want to make it known that I truly appreciate you taking the time out of your day to check out what I have to say. I have my qualms with social media and technology (as we all do) but it really is quite neat that I can type up some nonsense every day and y'all can read it from anywhere in the world.

After a popular first post in this 30-day stretch, my second entry only had one reader. Then, when I complained about that in the third post, 50+ people read it!! That was hilarious but also kinda touching, ya know? People felt sorry for my lack of readership and gave me their pity... lol. On average though, I think most posts got 10-15 views which is pretty cool! Again, this has been more of a journaling practice than anything but the fact that some of y'all might have gotten something from it too is awesome... I hope you did :)

I don't remember if I mentioned this in one of my previous posts, but my current plan for the Summer is to post a blog at least once a week as a reflection on the previous miles covered, challenges faced, and lessons learned. In addition to that, I think I'll post a short video to my instagram every morning before we hit the road. I have no idea what life will be like over the 70 days so these might be ambitious goals... if I need to adjust, I'll adjust! On a related note, if y'all know anyone out West who could give us a place to stay, please let me know. We're still looking for a host in these cities.

See y'all tomorrow ;)
